2007 Nearing its end

During this year we have launched the Plan the Future project, which has unfortunately suffered heavily from my lack of time for updates. That is why you weren't able to see more content and were just casualy awarded with news about some more important events. I hope this will change in the forthcoming year, since I'm already planning a new project and a complete redesign of this website. The changes are expected to be seen in about six months, depending on my time and funds. Till then I wish you a happy and joyful New Year!

QR code

QR code or Quick Response code is a matrix, two dimensional code that is known for its ability to store large quantities of data and the ability to keep the high reading speed at the same time. This code was created in 1994, by a Japanese company Denso-Wave and has only recently started to rapidly expand on the international market. This happened because the conventional BARcode codes are not able to carry all the product data anymore. Unlike the barcode, the QR code is able to contain a few thousand times more data, up to 7,089 numeric or 4,296 alphanumerc characters. Therefore, many applications for portable devices have been developed, that allow the user of a (for example) cellphone equipped with a camera, to simply take a photo of the code on a product in a store and instantly view its contents.

sQuba - a real submarine car

sQuba is the world's first car that is able to travel both on earth and underwater. It was developed by a Swiss automobile manufacturer Rinspeed, based on the famous James Bond's car from his movie The spy who loved me.

The car is powered by three electric motors and utilizes rechargable litium-ion batteries, that allow up to 120 km/h land speed, 6 km/h speed on the water surface and about 3 km/h underwater. To submerge, the driver has to flood the interior of the car, which than allows the vehicle to dive to a depth of approximately 10 metres. The car is provided with two scuba-style rebreathers, that enable its passengers to breathe underwater. Because of its open cockpit design, the occupants can easily escape from the vehicle in case of an emergency.

Futurama is back!

Futurama, the legendary series created by Matt Groening, who is best known as the author of The Simpsons is finally coming back to our screens! The series that were originally broadcasted from 28th March 1999 to 10th August 2003 on FOX, when they were canceled. Now after four years, Comedy Central has announced 16 new episodes to be aired. The Secret World

The first game quest started even before the game was announced by Funcom on 11th of May. A photo of an old document with a poem appeared on various forums in the beginning of May that instantly drew attention and started a numerous community. The poem, all lines anagrams of eachother, form additional anagrams that lead to www.darkdaysarecoming.com and www.darkdemonscrygaia.com, which are the official websites providing a discussion forum and additional clues for solving the riddle. The Dark Days Are Coming website is the next step in finding the answer, accompanied with websites that derive from each of the four lines of the poem giving us clues about which symbols to use. Again, when a piece of the puzzle is found, there forms another mistery.

Different theories and conspiracies are rising. Hundreds of people are partecipating and trying to decipher the code and the meaning. The forums on www.darkdemonscrygaia.com and on www.crygaia.com are literarily flooded and it is very hard to keep track of everything that is happening so quickly. The future of gaming

While browsing on the internet I came across an interesting movie showing the gaming of 2078, or better, showing the use of Playstation 9.

The Playstation 9 commercial shows the goal of the game consoles development. They are and will be aiming to produce a biotech console that will allow an even more realistic involvment of the player in a game. Unfortunately such technologies weren't developed yet, but with the current inovation progress the year 2078 seems a possible release date of such a technology.
